Cordillera Blanca in the Peruvian Andes

We traveled amid some of the highest mountains of South America.  With great support from porters and a trekking company, we were able paint at extreme altitudes. Our subjects include the remaining original forests (tree line is 15,000 feet) and about the dramatic and highly visible retreat of ice and snow due to climate change.
