Georgian Bay, Canada

Georgian Bay is a huge precambrian shield (very old rock) scrubbed by four periods of glaciation to create tens of thousands of islands on the eastern coast of Lake Huron in Ontario. A friend who's family has had an island home there for decades took Janet there in August of 2011 and they painted almost every day. Here are Janet's watercolors of this beautiful land with its pink fingers of rock reaching out into the water.
